Who are we and what do we do?

We are a very friendly group of amateur photographers of all ages, who meet on Thursday every fortnight from 7 pm-9 pm at Netherseal Village Hall. This Club is about photographers getting together and learning. The group comprises members of mixed ability and we help each other out with camera settings etc. Have a look at the photos below to see what sort of things we do.

We originally started the group at Hicks Lodge Cycle Centre in the National Forest, hence our name (and why our photos are displayed on the walls at the Cafe there - why not have a look if you visit the cafe?).

We are not brand or camera-type specific, our members use all different brands and types of cameras - from compact cameras to the most advanced DSLR kits. We are a non-competitive group - we do not compete with other clubs or amongst ourselves, nor do we have competitions. We are more interested in enjoying our photography and sharing/learning from each other.

Please feel free to drop into our Photography Group, our door is open to anyone wanting to join or just pop along for a chat. See what we are about; you can even have tea or coffee whilst you have a look around.

Rather than an annual subscription, it costs £4.00 when you come to any group meeting. Tea, coffee and cake are provided, plus you get to mix with like-minded photographers.
